French Swimsuits - 1948

Rather swoon-worthy, aren't they?  At left:  Andre LeDoux animal print cotton suit with removable straps.  At right:  Jacques Griffe blue and white striped rayon two-piece.  Do you have a preference?

Love both but the stripes are sensational!

I can't choose! It seems they both have under wire, yes?

Wow, that bikini on the right (or 'a droit' as they say in France!) is gorgeous. I have a weak spot for black and white prints. I would wear this in a flash - it is a very flattering cut (as many vintage items are bless them!). Thanks for some great posts over the last few weeks. Maria

The right one with the stripes will be my favorite, but both of them look realy wonderful. I have an original swimsuit from the 1950's in my collection. Oh I'm so in love with these old swimsuits. Thanks for sharing this beautyful picture with us.
